Does this look like 18th century furniture? Type of wood?

Pictures are not great, cell phone camera.

    Sorry about posting images twice.

Any help would be appreciated. (I have a hard time remembering names unless I can place it with a face so...I’ve left some folks out..)

You might have better luck posting this in “furniture”.
My initial thought was that the top and bottom may not have started-off life together but I’d definitely wait for the experts.

I am seeing oak secondary woods but am having a hard time telling if the whole think is oak..... Maybe walnut? Definitely has some age but pictures are not sufficient to really pinpoint a date on this. Don't think it is American.

Agrees, not American, probably english. Is it 18th century? can't tell with photos provided but certainly 19th. I would guess 19th because of the drawer pulls appear to be english revival Hepplewhite pulls, C 1880s. This is called a desk-bookcase here or blind door secretary, not sure what it's called in England.

Thanks so much, that helps a lot. It's for sale at Goodwill for $100. Was wondering if it was worth buying. It is a bit rough on the inside. Outside looks nice. It's big, almost 10 foot at the crest.

Yeah, is very rough inside & it's size does not help it either, probably why it has a $100. price tag.
