Featured Awesome glass or junk

Hi all,
Saw this today but couldn't decide what it was, no marks or sig, any ideas or clues as to maker?

 

sorry, I meant to add its about 10 inches tall and a foot wide....

 

Needs a base photo, really.

 

Hi OBB, I knew you would say that
I recall it was a ground out concave pontil area, with flat rim maybe polished. It’s heavy with a slight colour shade change about half way up, not visible in the photos. I’ll do better next time…..

yes these are the only similar that popped up during my searches too, I assume they made other things than ashtrays so I'll try to find out.

it doesn't look like the same pontil area as those wales glass ashtrays.......

 

It’s got a bit of age, with that wear on the base, and a decent pontil. Looks handblown anyhow . That’s not a typically Japanese base. I’m inclined to Scandinavian. For that price, I’d grab it.
