    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

I was intending to post this, but inadvertently solved the mystery myself. Don suggested I post anyway...

All I knew when unwrapping this thing was that my ol' man said it was bought in Amarillo, Texas, by somebody on his mother's side a long time ago. It measures about 8 inches by 8 inches. No marks I could find. I posted pictures above and asked for help. While gathering the paper and box for the rubbish can, something tumbled out.

A hand-written note (by his mother) identified the piece as "John B. Higbee Glass Co. de Pensylvainia [as written!] recib'd de Juanita Vasquez, West 6th Street, Amarillo, Texas. Delta Glass, Thistle". I took that stuff and Googled it, and found examples of the exact dish. The Higbee Company morphed a few times before closing out in the 1960s... I didn't follow up much because I already had my answer. This compote is the "Paneled Thistle by Delta", mailed and shipped sometime around 1905, which matches the generation of the great-aunt named in the note. I found it valued between 25 and 50 dollars.

    Hopefully that all sounds credible?

John B. Higbee Glass Co. originally called the pattern 'Delta' when introduced c1910; AKA: Paneled Thistle. Check for the bee mark, tho' not all of their pieces were marked. Some forms of the pattern were also made by New Martinsville, Jefferson, and Wright.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Oh, wow, thank you for your link!
No bees, no marks... I think I read that sometimes the marks were in the bottom of the actual bowl... so maybe it wore off? I appreciate the information. And to think - this morning I didn't even know what EAPG meant.
