    Hi,
I am wondering what these might be. They are a rusty orange. I am thinking possibly dyed but I am not sure. Only thing I can think of is lacy agate or crazy lace agate. They have a decent clasp on them.

    What are your thoughts?

They look like banded agate beads to me.
Crazy lace agate has irregular patterns like lace.

Banded agate with a lot of carnelian colored layers.

Just carnelian in color? Not dyed? Thank you so much

Conceivable, I suppose, but I see no reason to think it has been dyed other than that it is common practice. There's so much subtle shading, I'm inclined to think not.

Love this photo, how the fingertip goes with the agate:

Banded orange agate. Might be dyed, but who'd bother. Sterling findings. I think there's a maker's mark on the clasp too, but it's under the gold and blurred out.

But lake superior are special to many

The story of their creation in a primordial environment is something out of this world

Many of the bands could be a thousand years in the making

Oooh! I was looking up the different colors cause I thought these could be dyed, still not sure and Lake Superior is one I found. There was also a dragon banded but I think that had green Cool!

Nice banded agates, those. Wildly popular for Victorian jewellery.

The color depends on the natural heat treating while they were still in the ground.
