I admit defeat with this as it’s really not my sort of thing.
Google lens and key words have failed me completely.
Thankyou for ideas for descriptive key words that would help.
    C11cm tall.
Is there age to it or are there any redeeming qualities or is it just fit for a pot plant?!
    Thankyou :)

To me it looks Chinese and yet Italian faience at the same time.

    Thanks Charlie!
I have no idea about it but thought the colours were nice and bold. For £2 it wasn’t a big decision.

Um, no way, I think you done good

Doesn't strike me at all as an obvious bullshit piece

You might be pleasantly surprised actually :)

Italian faience it ain't, it's chinese, but can't hurt to learn about Italian faience, because knowing you, you'll probably find a decent piece :p

Lovely. I'll give you three quid for it and you're in profit. Looks like a planter/jardiniere perhaps? I want one

Except this isn't famille verte, which is much more subtle, and the 'verte' or green on famille verte has a more blueish hue.

The 'famille' names for a group of Chinese ceramics are a 19th century classification system, based on the dominant enamel colour. The system was invented by French art historian/collector Albert Jacquemart.
The terms are not known to the Chinese, who have another classification system.
Nevertheless, the terms tend to be used a lot, especially the term famille rose, which is often wrongly used for other colours as well.

No words of advice, but just wanted to say that I would have grabbed that right up. Very cool looking.
