Bronze or brass pendant

I posted this a good whiled back in "Metals", which I think may have been a bad choice. Please pardon if I try again in Jewelry!
Any observations about this handsome fellow? Here's all I know: a relative brought it back in the 1950s from India. Ages later, I vaguely recall someone saying that the worn area on the chin of one of the faces was due to repeated religious observances or manipulations. Any ideas?

 

Can't help with an identification, but it bears a striking resemblance to a (female) relative of mine................

Looks like a devil. During the 70s,sun,moons,zodiac symbols and things like this on a leather cord were HUGELY popular.

 

Thanks, Johnny... I'll double-check the story that it was from India in the 1960s-50s. He DOES look like a devil.

 

My sister-in-law is going to India in November-December; I'm sending this thing with her along with a request to show it to any and all for identification. Film at 12. December, that is.
