Heavy glass vase - where from?

This one is a bit of an oddball - the glass is the color of old bottle glass - it's pretty heavy (4.5 pounds), when I first picked it up I expected to see a rough pontil on the base or maybe even a machine type scar but the base is flat and highly polished (with some wear). I can't quite put my finger on where it might be from... thanks for looking!

About 7" tall (17cm). Rim at the top is about 4.5"(11cm) wide.

 

I was surprised at the nice bottom as well.

My impression before reading, was glass seen in the decorator shops from the 1990s through early 2000s.

Wonder if Poland is a possibility. Just guessing as I don't know.

 

Thanks Pat! I have a couple of pieces of Polish glass from that era - and the base is definitely different - but yes I agree a possibility.
