    Yeah, lousy puns!

This weekend had a brooch theme. I love Scottish hardstone pieces. Nice man sold me this and the other citrine for twenty quid each. Which was good for him, he was happy, and cheap as heck for what they are. The white enamel brooch is almost nicer on the back than the front.

All are beautiful but I like the most the enamel one, and on the front :) It is so natural and vivid!

Pardon my ignorance, is a quid equal to a pound?

It is, quid is slang for a pound. The enamel one was three of them as was the Victorian paste one.

    Thanks, OBB!
    Nice bargain, IMO.
Victorian paste is the ellipse one with clear rhinestones, right? A lovely one, simple and elegant!

But I still can't take my eyes of the flower one... Sooo lovely!

Yes, the ellipse, which is SO the right mathematical term, is the paste one. It delights me that someone knows it's elliptical rather than oval. ;)

The Scottish brooch is so pretty. I love the use of different stones that these have.

Thank you, OBB! It is kind of professional distortion with me - I have a MSc in applied Math :)
