So there is a dealer in town who puts ads in the paper every week to buy jewelry, musical instruments, and furniture. She has a garage sale 3-4 times a year, and she set up for the community yard sale yesterday and today. She said she did very well yesterday. I picked up a few things from her today, and I couldn't believe she had this left for $15 (I picked up items priced at a total of $34, and she took $4 off.)

Juliana, I do believe it is in original condition with the clamper overlapping a bit. Doesn't look bent. Some stones a little disintegration on the under foil, but I almost FELL OVER. Not sure what color you would call the stones.... from my research, Swarovski calls this color medium vitrial.

Yes, I see her fairly often, although more frequently similarly framed with a little loop, maybe once used as a fob but now sold as pendants.

    That's exactly what it is.

Back looks grimy. Not likely to be a diamond, but if it has a lot of flash after being cleaned up, could be white topaz or cubic zirconia. White sapphire less likely. It's already a score at 18K, anything better than plain glass is gravy.

Unfortunately, that's not a Yves Saint Laurent logo which means the bracelet is sure to be counterfeit. Here is the original YSL logo (top) with the newer version (bottom.) The brand doesn't use and has never used a serif font.

    OMG, the spoons.

I would have bought them in a flat minute, brought them home and then just sat and stared at them.

It is love at first sight.

I do indeed like the YSL bracelet. Especially for the minimal amount I got it for. ;)

I think it's fine: the main YSL logo on the MOP plaque matches precisely other known pieces I have. The lower case inscription is the same font they use in the text of perfumes and so forth. Which makes it feasible it was a giveaway, even.

As long as you're happy with it. I spent much of my career in Cosmetics and Branding, working both nationally and internationally and, IMHO, using a secondary font for a brand name would be an odd corporate decision. The reason being, of course, that in this day of mass luxury and revolving door designers, a brand's equity almost completely lies in its logo.

found a couple of items, a Franklin Mint set, Etruscan by Mary McFadden - I didn't know they did jewelry too. I have it sitting in a container of kitty litter to try and get rid of the perfume smell. A keeper for me, a cast iron and wood paper roll cutter with some old Christmas paper on it. Small by todays standard, only 16"L. Now to figure out where I can display it:)
