Pottery Dish Mosaic Tile Inserts

Any suggestions on the origin. Original decoration or “upgraded” ?

 

It's a damaged Heide Mosaic, have had one of the Viking ships for years - if I recall correctly, there is a varnish over the back that appears to have been scrubbed away on yours, taking the mark with it. I had a large 22" diameter bowl without the ducks. I used it as a bird bath. It was outside for 6 or 7 years before it started to fall apart. The back was exactly like yours. I never did find out who or where it was made by or what country. It was extremely heavy. Thanks for the info of the maker. Shame I did not know it was Danish or I would have kept it inside.
