    Hello,
    the problem is that I obviously don't know enough words in english to describe this wall light, so I'm having a little trouble finding it. What would you call it? I was thinking gilded tole wall plafonnier, but obviously i didn't find much...

    And lens only finds amonits :D

    Plafonnier isn't a word widely used in English. Hard to see what it is from one photograph but it appears to be a wall sconce.

    Sconce would be a word used in the UK. Don’t know if that helps?
    @Debora beat me to it!

    And I got beat as I was writing this:

    That leaf effect is typically described as "starburst" or "sunburst."

    1st Dibs example is a very helpful one but do know... The site is infamous for inflated offering prices.

    Wow this really look similar to mine, and confirms my theory that it is midcentury. I bought it in Italy so location is a match!

    Thank you! And all of you for helping!

    I am not gonna get that kind of price that is certain :D

    A few years ago, these types of pieces were very chic. Think the decorating market has moved on a bit but think yours still very desirable.

    Where I am, a plafonnier is fixed to a 'plafond' or ceiling. Is yours meant to be attached to the ceiling, like the one in the link mos posted, or to the wall?

    Wherever it is meant to be hung, it is beautiful, and I agree, Italian made.

    Very nice, Irenka.
    Rewiring is good though, overhere you can't sell it as a lamp if it isn't. It is probably the same in Slovenia.
