Should I get this painting restored???

    Is that supposed to be a Russian icon painting?
    I have no technical knowledge about these things, but the frame sure looks new.
    You should probably post pictures of the back for those who know what to look for regarding details of the canvas.

    Really doesn't look all that bad to me. If you are selling, you are probably best to leave it as-is so that a buyer can do as they wish with it. I am not sure you would really get out of it what you put in for restoration. Besides, when one mentions restoration to potential buyers, it brings up questions and doubt in their minds. If you are keeping this for yourself, it is worth conservation/restoration.
