Pottery Feeder

    Looking for origin and approx. age of the feeder. Was told by a few dealers it was a good chance of being American Indian made, none of us are really sure. Being in the Mohawk valley a lot of indian items do appear. No maker markings. What do you think?

    Did anyone you talked to say how it was supposed to work? And what did it hold?

    I do not know what would be substituted for babies milk back then. You pour the liquid in the hole in the bottom, fluid would then be fed through the small hole in the top.

    When I was a toddler -
    Never satisfied with a tablespoon, I was given emetics and other "dose-ings" in something that looked similar, though it was simply white, glazed pottery of some sort............wish I could remember it in more detail, but it has been (quite) a while............
