    hey,

I’ve been doing some online research into different items in our collection. We plan on having a garage sale to unload a few pieces as well as maybe make some “living” cash. I know that a sale of this nature isn’t really the best way to go with vintage, antiques and collectables and I don’t intend to give stuff away for free, but, yeah, this is the route we’re going for the moment.

This piece in question... I haven’t found a corresponding photo in this artist’s catalog. Some pieces are close but not this one. I have been informed a little on the artist: 1911-1982, worked in Italy made over 1300 figurines... tidbits mostly, interesting all the same.

My question to you... what would you list this piece at? I had considered, $100 cad but realize, in a garage sale might be a difficult sale although I’m not opposed to negotiations.

    Would appreciate your experience.

Apparently, one of a pair. These sold on etsy. Look 1950s to my eye.

Here are a couple similar that look a tad older. Both with condition issues.

If your research indicates that’s a fair price, put a photo of it in your garage sale, but shown by special request, so it doesn’t get damaged. Offer on another selling venue, if it doesn’t sell there.

As I recall, the pieces similar to this were listed in pounds and through conversion $100 cad was compatible, but, as it is, we haven’t been sellers so, yeah, experience would help. Thank you.

Not so fast.....sets always sell for more than parts of sets.....BUT...if you find someone who needs yours to complete at set......it may go for more !!

In our area it's unusual for decorative items worth more than a few dollars to sell at a garage or yard sale. Sales in your area may be different. As you're aware the question is: do I want to sell for maximum value or do I want to sell quickly. The two rarely go together. Finding a collector of Bosato at your sale is unlikely so you'll need to work to convince a dealer that the price you are offering still allows for the dealer to obtain a healthy profit margin. At least here, this artist is obscure so it's unlikely a dealer would be familiar with the market. It's going to be a tough go. Personally, I would go the on-line route.

If you still have the little angel by Borsato I would be interested in purchasing it.

I would like to know if you sold the Borsato Angel. If not I would be interested in purchasing it. Thank you very much.
