This is Imperial glass and has their iron cross mark, which dates it to the 1920s. It’s clear glass, 5 ½” tall, with some kind of coating. The question is twofold: is there a name for this shape, and is there a name for this texture?

I told myself I wasn’t going to buy any more of this next type of glassware unless it had a siggy or label, but I haven’t seen this sort of clambrothy-pink top treatment before, so I broke a rule I’ve generally done a pretty good job of keeping. It measures about 7 ½” diagonally across the corners and stands about 2 ¾” high. So… any thoughts of who or when?

The pink one looks Italian to me. Very pretty.

The Imperial vase looks like a "stretch" finish on the surface. I do not know a special name for the shape.

I've never has a piece of stretch glass to compare, but it seems a fairly random arrangement of lines. I'm not sure if that's from manipulating the glass, or if it's a characteristic of the coating. But "stretch" is a word to consider.

The Imperial Vase has the Iron Cross mark. Circa 1917-1919.

I did contact Ernie and the reply suggests that this is stretch glass from the Art Glass Line (Imperial Jewels) and the color is probably Pearl Ruby.

    Thanks for the input.

Now about that other piece? I can't argue with the suggestion that it could be Italian. Might it be SKLO? Italian more likely? Mongolian? Gambonese? Martian?
