You could also do the compression online, in lieu of having a software program on your system. There are a bunch, if you search for "batch compress photos online" or something like that. Here's one:

I am sorry he is no longer with you, but making him your avatar picture is a lovely tribute. Some other forum members have done that as well.

A zip file uses compression to store a file, or a group of files. It cannot be used to publish images. You will need to unzip it to your computer to extract the contents.

If you right-click the zip files, you should see an option to Extract them. Take note to where you extract them to. Provided they meet the parameters of the upload (under 1mb), you should be fine.

    Make sense?

It probably will after I eat lunch. Can't focus on an empty stomach. Thank you for taking the time to explain it.

Shrunk.JPG Success! And on an empty stomach! Thank you Sabre 123!

Meanwhile, here is a cabinet that I'd like to sell but I don't know anything about it. Can anyone tell me what style it is or approximate age? My mother had it for at least 20 years, it has one shelf in addition to the bottom, 2 doors, a wooden back, and brass scallops on the bottom. Thanks mucho.

Good! But... better if you click "upload as full image" :joyful:
Still time to edit your comment, then change for full image;)

Pretty. The cat's tail is in the shot, too. How cute!

Since we're in the Introductions forum, the furniture people may not see this. I'll ping two of them ( @verybrad & @James Conrad ) but you may reach a wider audience if you post in the Furniture forum. They would appreciate a few more photos of various parts that cannot be seen here.

Guesses 1930s-1940s, jacobean revival style. Sorry, way out of my field of interest, wait for others to post.
