Featured How to best DESCRIBE this Mexican Sterling (Bib?) Necklace

I bought this silver necklace years ago, intending to resell it, but set it aside because it needed cleaning, which looked like it would be a rather tedious job. (It was!)
I finally got a "round tuit" (it's not perfectly detailed, but much improved), so now I need to learn the proper terminology to describe it. Not being any kind of jewelry expert, the best I can come up with is "bib" - but perhaps there is a better way to describe this style, with its graduated "fingers" or "fins".
By the way, I noticed that the necklace is actually strung on a fine (but strong enough) silver cable, which I take as a sign of better workmanship.
The clasp is marked "MEXICO 925" and "MC HECHO EN MEXICO", along with an EAGLE (3?) stamp.

    Bib is a good term.

We have sold quite a few of those - we use the terms bib or collar. Bib is probably a better choice.

I have quite similar necklace (although smaller) and was wondering about its origin. No marks on mine. So I will assume it is Mexican then.
Isn't there a specific style related to it? These long "fins" or "fingers" elements are quite unusual. Have anyone seen them before? Except LoveTheHunt! of course :)
    They clink distinctively like silver.

    Could you post photos, Iva?
The design is also seen in other countries, so it is difficult to say if yours is Mexican, especially because Mexican silver is generally fully marked as such, including a maker's mark.

I will, Any, later. Now I am out of home.

But if unmarked and if the design is not so unusual, then it can be some local crafts work.

It could also be Asian, which is often the case.

If it is a eagle 3 that would be pre1979 and Taxco. Nice necklace. It does speak quality.

Yes, it is the later, stylized eagle, so roughly between 1955 and 1980.

The dangles do remind me of Peruvian designs.

Oh, yes, on those bamboo necklaces and earrings, often mounted with Peruvian chrysocolla.

Just want to say, "Lovely Necklace!" This would be a good time to sell it. I can just see this worn during the warmer months. It might be a good choice for someone heading to the Caribbean for a vacation.

May I ask, did they sell well? I don't want to over- (nor under-) price it.

No idea what OBB and Any are talking about :( Do you think it is Peruvian design? Here is what I have - the metal is silver tone white, it looks yellowish because of the artificial light.

Don't worry, just a little back and forth between obb and myself.
No, neither LoveThe Hunt's nor your necklace is Peruvian.

Yours isn't Mexican either, and it may not be silver. It looks like a craft necklace. It is one of those designs that always looks nice when you wear it.

So... Anyone know of a Mexican silversmith, based in Taxco, who used the initials MC as a mark?

MC is mentioned in Hougart, but only as a mark together with eagle 3, not who the silversmith was.

    Thank you very much, Any!
So the design is not unusual and specific to any culture or period.
