Art Nouveau "Spittoon" Style Metal Vase-By STECHAN ??

    It is hard for me to see the stamp clearly, but what I see looks like STEGHAN. I will look for more information, to see if I can find a connection.

    I thought that too but the 'tails' on the other letters seem the same.

    I hesitated, too, but it looks like the serif on the top of the C/G is angled (or vertical), but the serif on the bottom of the C/G seems to be horizontal, isn't it?

    Looks like a G to me too, seeing the same details pointed out by Morgen.

    It looks even less like a G when I close in on its bottom.
