Gee, I didn't know we could post our eBay auctions here. Alastair, you do have some unusual items. Too bad you won't ship across the pond.

Hi there, I haven't shipped overseas before so I would be hesitant to do it. I hope posting ebay listings is ok. Which items were you interested in?

Hi, I'm not sure I understand.

You lot seem like you know what you're doing, where do you think the best place to sell my doulton is?

I was commenting on your eBlech listings......
eBay Refund policy trumps your No Returns policy.......

KOMO, it's become common. Many eb sellers aren't even aware that they missed clicking on whether or not they will accept returns. As you say, though, it doesn't make any difference. If a buyer says "not as described" eb is going to refund their money, from your account, of course. I really don't know why eb even offers that choice.
Alistair, are you aware that you have TWO identical Royal Doulton Napoleon/Josephine Jugs currently up for auction? One for 30 pounds and one for 60.
I would have no idea where you might do better on your Doultons, but you might want to consider (almost) world wide shipping. It's been a decent part of my sales for years. Good luck with all of them.

Yes, TOG , but while that may have ' become' common , I've encountered sellers who for a lot longer than that believe that it's their right to offer the policies that they ' choose' because it's their listing of their items and totally up to them , the way in which they want to conduct business ....on eBay's site !

& then they're furious when ebay takes money out of their account to pay full refunds for returns that were sent back........or never sent back ......because they do not accept returns !

I don't know which case this is.....but in the end....it works out the same !

I do use eBay occasionally to buy something like the latest - HP Printer Ink about 25% less than even HP's special offers. But that's rare. I've been there since 1998 and have never had a problem with a seller, except with the few who sold a rare piece of glass and threw it in a shoe box with one piece of bubble wrap. So I do appreciate eBay's attitude sometimes. As for buyers, yes, several problems. Mostly illegitimate complaints I learned to handle many years ago. Consequently have only one negative. But eBay backs buyers to beyond the Nth degree and sellers only if you are in the Fortune 500. But what else is available that reaches that type audience? Something I might want to try?

If & when it does show up, it'll blow ebay out of the water......or eBay will buy it up before it can !!
