    Hello everyone,
I have a few older Polynesian or Island artifacts that I need help identifying. There is one wooden bowl and what I believe to be two ceremonial wooden swords. I do not know much about them. My stepfather got them from a friend who was an archaeologist in the South Pacific. He obviously didn't dig these items up but they were brought back here to the United States sometime in the 1970's or earlier. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

THe first may be a tourist verion of a kava bowl.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kava

What they do not tell you that the drink is prepared by women chewing the kave root and spitting into the bowl to make the drink.

The second item is a wooden Parang, the third I can't remember offhand, but they are all simply decor items. Airport Art.

Use the bowl as a candy dish.....it's lovely.
Put the weapons on the wall as decoration.
