    The bubbles indicate some kind of cast material, probably some kind of resin. No idea on the beads.

    oh yes they do.......by the critter load !!! :woot:

    many old NW Coast horn spoons & carvings have the same type of holes.

    woodworms can also account for a similar look in old wood masks and carvings...
