From what we have found out, 1950 as an homage to Le Corbusier. Not sure if this is right.

Popsy, does the medal have an indication of who designed/made it? Sometimes it's tiny initials around the edge somewhere.

Popsy, that medal is beautiful.... would look nice set in one of those circular pendant holders. Have you googled it online? In one online auction, one sold for $200.

I have a small collection of old international exhibition medals. My favourite is from the 1925 Arts et decorative exhibition in Paris.

Found this doll in a thrift shop. She is all original except for a missing bonnet, added one from my stash. Ideal, see the reference from my Ideal book. Ideal Magic Flesh Doll (438x640).jpg

Not a glassware person, as you all well know, but I fell in love with this at a thrift shop for my house, matches my decor colors, and I love roses.

I think that might be a piece of Nippon porcelain. What does the mark look like?

I'd have said probably German on the porcelain; those roses look like the German ones. The glass vase probably is Chinese, but it looks good and it's fit for purpose as the Brits put it. These are some of my finds from this weekend. I can't read the plate (my Hebrew is all but nonexistent) but most of the jewelry pictured is Israeli too including the painted wood brooch. Someone painted all over a piece of olive wood(!). The birdie is one of the babies that were in the nest by the window. I think the little guy may have died somehow, but the bigger one has real robin feathers now.

    Hi,
I regret to say that the older Robin baby most likely pushed the little one out of the nest to get more food for himself. It sounds horrible but it happens.

Those baby robins grow up incredibly fast. I was amazed how soon ours flew from the nest.
