It looks like an old television in a cabinet, maybe from the 1960s? I might be wrong about the date, so wait to see if somebody else has a better estimate. However, it is definitely a television. My grandparents had one very much like that one.

Its a TV console and looks to be in the 70's. My family went through 3 in 10 years.

Its sadly not worth anything, tube tv plus everything today is HD The picture tube looks burned? Have you tried it?,although it would be hard to get a station.

    Welcome, noa!

And Hi, Shi! I agree with your 70's estimate and minimal value. I remember my Dad (frugal man that he was) taking the TV part out a cabinet and installing doors over the gaping hole. Instant storage for this and that.

Hi Bakers, yes they can make for dandy storage. Ours were all too crappy so we just tossed them. Remember the combo,tv,stereo, radio? They weighed a ton!

I remember those too, shi. The original "entertainment center."

You're welcome, noa. Out of curiosity, where are you?

As others said, little to no value as a TV. If the cabinet can be repurposed, you might have something.

If if has tubes, and any work, you may be able to sell those.
DO NOT TOUCH THE BIG SHINY THING IN THERE!
It should be marked but it holds a power charge for awhile, even when the TV is unplugged but how long is questionable.

Many years ago, I went to a county fair. People had turned these old consoles into aquariums. Removed the innards and put the tanks in. I thought that was pretty clever.

Yours doesn't have the lift up top, so would have to have a slider to pull the tank in and out.

How OLD does it make me feel when someone doesn't recognize a console tv ?!? Along those same lines,my nephews (ages 8,11,15) had NO idea what a clothes pin was ! They found some in my junk drawer and were puzzled as to their purpose!

    LOL johnny

Back in the 90s I was den mother to 2nd graders. I had a dial phone in the kitchen. When the meeting was over and the boys wanted to call their mother's, they didn't know how to use it.
