It was all Greek to the pricer

The temple is solid 14K and the Greek key outside is 18K. Perhaps there was a weak attempt at a mark on the bottom of the back.

 

Today’s treasures.
Nice Deco ( or trying to be?) light plastic lidded dish. Or 50s powderpuff pot?
Pink glass beads- nice swirls in them.
Heavy cold black beads- no idea what these are.
Pearls- real or not?. Think not as clasp base metal but no flaking and knotted.
925 Pastel necklace
Japanese? Bracelet
Nice beads that fluoresce under UV- don’t know if amber but maybe reconstituted?
Little pot with amber glass?. Does fluoresce but don’t know.
Silver filigree bracelet and odd gold coloured star pendant. Any ideas what the symbols round the outside represent?

Score one on that pendant! Somebody didn't do their homework. Love when that happens. I went to three tag sales and antique store today. It was pretty dead out there. Spent the most in the store, but found... I wanted to get more pictures but my camera batteries decided it was time to go flat.

Bottle I started a thread on,fabulous!

Theres a little story to this one..some of you might remember when I had floors installed I had boxed up a lot of stuff ,one to donate,several to keep. Just as the guys showed up to pick up, the floor guy tilted our stove and out fell moms 50 year old,well seasoned and much beloved cast iron dutch oven and cracked. In the ensuing chaos (mother was beside herself!) they picked up the wrong boxes.Most of my "good" stuff was gone.The worst part was I didnt notice till like a week later,by then it was all gone.
In that box was a bottle EXACTLY like this one that was a much cherished gift from my late partner. I know it probably isnt the same one,what are the odds? but itsnt it nice to think "maybe?"

Johnny, I'm drawing a blank as well. Unless the end with all 8 (?) chains wraps around the hook part somehow... Size-wise could it be a bracelet?

 

Depending on the length, a bracelet is likely.

 

i'd like to see it in action......how those chains stay on the button shape hook...

It brings back the memories, and who knows? It might be!

 

A waistcoat extender? Looks like one side goes through a buttonhole & the other goes onto the button opposite.

Yep,its a bracelet ! My mother knew what it was,I genuinely had no idea though once she pointed it out I thought "Doh!"

I finally have something to post !! Have had this pantry box ( 9"D) on a shelf for years. Looked at it with fresh eyes and did some research...I believe it is from mid 1800s and made by Daniel Cragin..New Hampshire.




All the ones I saw by him were plain, so to me this is especially nice!!!

 

Silver plated. Black, but polished up OK

 

Hard to resist at 3 euros.
