not sure if this would be considered militaria...was told revolution war era

    More pix, better lighted. better focused. both sides at least would help with assessment. I am not a knife person but gut feel is that it is no earlier than late 19th C. Blade and lock appear to be product of relatively modern machinery. Just a guess though. You could check whether anything like that shows up in any of George Neumann's books on RW stuff.

    Could also be French, check under the famous Laguiole maker.
    But defenetly not to be considered as militaria.
