I agree. Also Cartier appears to have been written separately from the pocelaine de Paris mark. I think you have the hear no evil monkey from a trio.

I'd be wary of a "Cartier" mark. A ring I have that's marked "Cartier" isn't Cartier at all.

Cartier isn't just the jeweler. It's not that uncommon a name. There are pieces of Quebec Beauce pottery signed Cartier for Jean Cartier, a designer with that company.

Sold For: $165.08 USD - Date: 9/4/2014 6PM - Channel: Online Auction - Source: eBay

Category: Porcelain-Pottery - Original Category: Pottery & Glass : Pottery & China : China & Dinnerware : Other Figurines: Animals

See No Evil" is my name for this seated porcelain monkey. He's covered his eyes; but, he's peeking, too. He is beautifully hand painted with strands of fur and life-like nose, mouth and eye. The figurine is exceptionally detailed with delicate ears and knuckles on his fingers. His bottom has the crossed blue arrows and "France" for R. Bloch Porcelain of Paris. This figurine measures 5 1/4 wide, 5" tall and 3 1/4" deep. The firm called Porcelaine de Paris was owned by Robert Bloch which ran roughly from 1918 to 1939 when they specialized in high-end decorative porcelain art. Robert Bloch's wife was an accomplished artist and arranged the work of many leading French artists and decorators with who she was associated. The "Blue Arrows" mark was introduced by Robert after World War One. He is in excellent condition with no flaws that I can find. He might like a better cleaning than my light wipe with a soft cloth. Please see my photographs for more description. This monkey is from the estate of a local collector, designer and friend. You may enjoy viewing my other auctions at this time, with more to come. I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping.
