Old Chinese? Carved miniature vase

    Any idea on typical history of little carved vases like this? It's about 5 inches tall. The bottom is unmarked. Any information on is appreciated

    Could it be alabaster?

    Natural soapstone is gray, green, bluish gray, or black. Never pink. I'm thinking this is rose quartz, but others will weigh in with better information on that point.

    It might be calcite too. Calcite comes in pink or can be dyed pink. It's far too soft of a stone to be jade.
