What are these symbols? Any clues friends?

    The usual Chinese and other East Asian luck, prosperity and longevity symbols, in this case Fu, which means good luck or blessings. So characters that came to be regarded as lucky symbols.
    Because it looks sooo like Oaxaca barro negro pottery.:banghead::banghead:

    I don't think it's Chinese. It does imitate Chinese, but looks to be drawn by someone with no understanding of the ideograms.

    If that's Chinese, it's certainly the ugliest I've ever seen.

    There are 4 blocks of them on the pot. The pot is solid and super strong…it’s like it is made of stone. They have been etched in quite crudely, maybe it was like swimming in mud working on it as the material is hard? Inside is black, it looks charred.:pompous:
