Could you please tell me if this old dresser is wormwood?

    Sorry about the pictures. The room only has one window and it is around a corner. I tried really hard to get some decent pictures. If you need more I will try to get more lights in there. The dresser does have all of its original hardware. Very pretty but extremely heavy. It belonged to my Mother. I don't know where she got it. I just remember it being in her room. It is 4 ft long and 2 3/4 ft high. I had a friend come over to help me move it and she said she thought it was wormwood. I don't know. I thought it was oak. Ha ha.     wood-eating larvae of many species of beetle - Gross! woodworm.png Ha ha ha. Maybe they are a delicacy.

    The only "wormwood" I know of is an herb - not a woody plant. Artemisia absinthium.

    I'd agree, at least the lighter colored top and 3 upper drawer fronts - the darker wood pieces/parts may be cherry.
