I see a possibility there svsvc
I was told that the medium was chalk, looks like charcoal to my untrained eyes?

I don't think "charcoal" comes in any color beyond shades of black and grey. More likely "pastels" which come in all sorts of colors (not just pale shades.)

Any chance at all of getting a picture without all the reflections?

As best as I can tell, this is pastel, even the black colors are pastel. Many people just call this a "painting" and that's become an acceptable description. It's very nicely done. :cat:

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Poignant... I hope you can get pics without the reflection. This could be from other wars... they could be refugees.

Oh, and I also think the first name of the artist looks like Patricia.

The "big chimney" and the large man whose head and shoulders are to the left of the chimney are not part of the artwork - they are reflections on the glass in the frame. Mugz was going to try to get a better image - reflection-free - so we could get a better look at what the artist had produced. But I guess he either could not get a picture without the reflection or did not get back to the place where this artwork was for sale.

I will try again Sunday if possible. Everytime I ask him if I can get another image the price goes up. Now the vendor thinks he has the Mona Lisa it went from 30.00 to a 100.00

I feel like if it was meant to depict the Holocaust, there would be some sign of it in the form of insignia or identifiable clothing. For what its worth, the fence also doesn't look like the fences I saw at Dachau and Auschwitz.
