I thought the bracelet was very cool but had I not seen it in relation to your necklace & the scarab I don't think it would have occurred to me to connect it to the King Tut exhibit or pegged it as Egyptian.

However, someone here may stumble across it at some point & hopefully they will remember this image.

 

That happens a lot with really good items. Lots of bids early, then a calm, and then a frenzy right at the end.

Another bid from a NEW bidder! Always helps, the more the merrier. We ought to have a pool of guesses for the high bid amount and the winner gets an e-medal of achievement! Like they do on the Price Is Right. Closest bid without going over. My guess is $975.00.

 

Well The woman who offered me $850.00 hasn't even bid. The one who offered 600 was first bidder, and winning until today.

She will, unless the necklace goes over $850. You may not see her because those folks who ask to end the auction early always offer less than what auction will bring.

 

I think the ones that offer money before bidding starts are many times dealers who know the value & are looking to buy for resell. JMHO

 

Unless it's someone who wants one, has never had a chance at one, and is willing to offer a high price to get her hands on one. That does happen, rarely, but it happens. Happened to me once, but it was a dude after a silk scarf if you can believe it.(LOL)

I have never seen an auction bidding go up a thousand dollars in the last 30 seconds. It is possible! If it wasn't for another item I have listed getting 8 bids this morning. My phone makes a cash register sound when I get a bid. Every time I checked, no not the necklace lol.
