Things that caught my eye, but that I know nothing about, are the lovely little blue bowl, and the tray at the back.

This is a bit like playing battleships and you've both scored a hit! The blue bowl is indeed gorgeous and was potted by Humfrey Wakefield in the Scilly Isles, we value this at circa $25.

Unfortunately royal mugs are quite common in the UK and need to be out of the ordinary to have real value. The best one we ever briefly owned was a Princess Elizabeth Wedding Mug by Ewenny Pottery, rare and collectable despite damage.

The tray is by Royal Winton Grimwades, features John O' Groats and we've valued it at just $7.79.

I like the little cannon, but I have a feeling it's souvenir tat. That little piggy too, but it's more of the same.

Two more targets hit! The cannon is a Shelley China piece and has recently sold for just over $50. The pig has a motto to one side "Wunt be Druv" and is valued at $20-$25

Greg, photos of the jug, one of the Dickens characters it looks like.

And to wind up the hidden gems from the auction lot, the Titanic vase of course was far right and featured in the other thread while this gem was hiding in the top left of the picture!

Not hidden, except for the lousy photos! All have damage and spent quite a lot on the two clocks, the tray of stuff was v cheap. Got a box lot with some interesting glass, will post for help later on those! And some 18th & 19th century ephemera :)

I'd estimate the perpetual calendar French clock at about £300 to £500, and the simple but early Bulle at £80 to £120.

The current market for clocks is pretty poor, 20 years ago I'd expect double that. Anything below the bottom estimates and I'd have bought them despite needing more clocks rather less than I need toothache.

Cheers Af, in which case we did ok, especially for the Bulle. Took me some while to work out what these were, I'm impressed at your expertise!

A single D cell should run the Boulle. I hope you have the dome.

I suspect the French clock may have a British made case. I have forgotten the name of the maker usually associated with similar looking cases. Have you a shot of the back?

Yes, we have the dome for the Bulle, but its all wrapped atm.
Here's a pic of the back (with some internal illumination presumably added much later)

Really too badly lit to make a judgement but possibly a marriage of case and movement. Where is the gong? On the back door?

The lights are an odd touch, I assume the case does not have a battery compartment.

I'll take some better photos tomorrow (these were taken at preview) but I wondered whether this was a marriage as well. Good news is that the movement is working, but pendulum weight is missing. There is what looks to be a transformer in a compartment in the base

I think I have to vote for a marriage, then. Altogether too many modifications to be original although it is well presented.

I was surprised to see on that was not in a French case.

I know you were talking clocks, but I love that little dark red and floral vase(?)
