I'm not much of an antique searcher, actually I'm not even sure this bird is an antique. But I really need to find another one if possible... I believe it is made out of clay so I apologize in advance if this is the wrong section. Who ever thinks they know of a bird like this I could buy online or anywhere, please comment a reply. Or if you know the name of the bird figurine. Thanks!

Scrolled thru thousands of birds 4 sale with none like that, even though you imply that size doesn't matter.

I could make you one, but I live in Belgium and need the other one to make a mould.

    Hi
I do not think this bird is very old. Maybe last 5-10 years.

    Looks Asian, (not necessarily Chinese).

I would look in garden shops.
Looks like it was on a stake for a yard ornament.

I was thinking it is from another country! My grandmother visited many many countries, so she isn't sure where she got this one if it was even from a different country.

    And I actually didn't not break anyone's! Yet. :)

    Thanks for the welcoming!

Thanks a ton Pat! I'll always be searching for this item, so if anyone ever finds anything similar or an exact, feel free to reply here! You guys rock!

Speaking of which, I need to buy my girlfriend something neat for fun, and she loves birds. So if anyone does find anything similar, I'll most likely buy it for her! Trust me, I'll be searching too so if you don't want to help out more power to you! :) thanks everyone!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

You did not mention the size of the bird, Alex -- but I agree with clutteredcloset's estimation.

And, welcome to the Antiquers forum!

Ahhh yes! I apologize! I will edit this post with sizes soon!

Height, top of head to bottom: 2 and a half inches.(6.5 cm)
Length, beak to tail: 4 inches. (Around 10cm)

If I need more mesurmeants I will get them!

That isn't meant to be offensive or taken in a bad way. It means more power to you, as in it is perfectly fine, if you don't help out! I didn't mean any form of offense to anyone. If that's what you are getting at... But excuse me if you took it the wrong way. My apologies.

Hello, Alex, and welcome! I tried searching "stoneware bird figurine" but couldn't turn your little guy up. There was a California pottery company named Howard Pierce Porcelain that produced some cute little bird figurines somewhat similar to yours. If you search "Howard Pierce bird figurines" a few should turn up. I don't believe your bird is by that company but if you're looking for something similar Howard Pierce is fairly affordable. Good luck in your search!

I agree with the earlier suggestions that this is likely to have been sold at a garden center shop. (Says the woman whose car automatically turns into the parking for her local plant nursery/gift shop whether she "needs" something there or not. ;))
