The counter on the listing itself shows 2054. I don't think i've had that many people look at all 48 of my current listings combined... In fact, I have two listings that won't budge past 1 view. Ebay is broken in so many ways.

Maybe auctions are getting more attention than fixed price items?

Sterling isn't selling unless it's below scrap weight? Alas, often true. I do have an old watch chain out there doing better, but watch guys are always looking for something they don't have. Pen collectors are always looking too. Spoons are "girl stuff" and that's not moving right now anyway.

Even if the a few people checked it out, I'd b surprised if they did that many times. Must be an ebay error.

Might be. Fifteen carat diamonds don't get that many hits.

The kolacky items may also be getting hits from people looking for the recipe or the history of kolacky (also know as kolach)

I think ebay is goofing around with the view count. The traffic reports available to ebay store subscribers is in transition with a beta model that show weirds numbers like your counts above.

I've been noticing some weird jumps in viewer counts the last week. Just had an item go from 9 lookers in a few days to over 50 with only a few hours in between. Saw it happen similarly to another item. It really stands out when I have items sitting there for 30 days with 5 lookers total... Wonder if there's some random promotion glitch or if it's all just fake.

I wish there was a flurry of bids/BIN's to accompany the surge of lookers.
