$8 profit on a zero investment is a pretty good ROI.

I've either got, or have had, that wee blue shell bottle. It had a tassel.

I stopped at a thrift today I never go to because the manager is a google freak and their prices are outrageous. But its right across from where my grandparents are buried and I had to put fresh flowers on their graves so I figured why not/ So glad i did ! First was this pair of weighted Gorham sterling candlesticks for the grand price of $5. I was taken by the design, very MCM.

Charity shop buys today. Thought the resin cameo was a bit odd in its silver gilt setting and long chain, probably 70s80s? Just a £1. Filigree coral ring and silver bits all cheap at £1-1.50 each.
Shelled out £4 for the 1965 Dior brooch.

This isn't a recent find, but a refind in my closet. I've had these beads for a while and decided that I wasn't going to make anything out of them so time to sell them. Don't know why it didn't register previously to check with a UV light, but I am so glad I did...

I've got some beads which do that under UV.

The Dior brooch is made by Grosse for them. Nice.

That "resin" cameo has hallmarks at the top. Are you sure it's not glass instead of plastic?

She did say silver-gilt, and I've rarely seen plastic in a real frame.

Might be one of those poured glass ones.

Definitely resin plastic, it’s light and warm to touch. Here’s close up of back, glue showing on edge. Hard to read the hallmarks on the bale, the chain spring catch has a faint 925. Strange if they did set the cameo in gold though.@Bronwen any thoughts please? I believe the gold has come off part of the bale in the photo so likely gilt as the chain.

Weird stuff happens. There are two punchmarks at the top of the pendant bail. Blowing them up just makes a blurry mess blurrier, so I have no idea what they say.

Cute. Most of what I find here says Made in China on it. Or worse - Not For Food Use.

Here's a cool set of 3 Bee House tea pieces. I think they're super stylish. Hopefully I'll find the right buyer in my case at the antique mall.

@Houseful Didn't get the tag, presumably because there was no space between the @ & the . in front of it. As you perceive, the cameo is resin. It's my impression that these are relatively recent, as in from this millennium. It's conceivable the setting is silver; also conceivable it's not. Doubt any actual gold is involved.
