Nothing surprises me any more, but jade handled Deco pewter... bet that doesn't sell cheap! The garnet ring would be in my jewelry hoard if it came home. As long as it fit anyway. Nice haul!

The nest and acorns were included free of charge. The mice were going to toss them into a jumble sale anyway.

great finds Marie that tea set looks wonderful, can you post more photos?

 

Picked these up today. Cast iron gilded, enamel and glass beads(is this still concidered cloisonne?). I can find the magnifying glass and a letter opener online but cannot find the pencil holder(felt on bottom and inside), if that’s what it’s called. any ideas of age? I am guessing 1980’s but could very well be 2012 for all I know . Very heavy and only one glass bead missing from the pencil holder.

Sure, I will start a new thread with your name on it. I won't get around to it until next week because I am selling at a different local flea Saturday and Sunday. In the mean time here is a thread about the same pieces though not a complete set. And I should say, in that thread there was some question about the stone being jade, but I tested them with my gem tester. All pieces test as jadeite jade (not nephrite jade)

Love the tea set!!

 

First time setting up there in years but I have a friend that I give stuff to sell for me, he goes often.
I’ll probably be there more often this summer.
Next time you see me you’ll get even better deals and 1st dibs, I let friends and regulars go through unpacked boxes behind the table.

 

Went to two thrifts and the grocery today. I tried to find a tag sale, but it must have been further down one particular street than I wanted to go today for what they had posted. Got home and found this little lady in a nest next to Mom's bedroom window. She's got babies but I couldn't get a shot of them.
