Signature On Oil Painting

    Need some help with the signature on this oil painting on board that I picked up recently. Name looks like Alirio Za????. I am assuming this is from Mexico or Central America? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    It's pretty modern, and that child looks really unhappy. It's a picture to make you feel a bit worse every day.

    Thanks for the responses. Was not thinking about Eastern Europe but will give that a look.

    My only contribution is that "Alirio" is a Hispanic name... and the garb looks South or Central American to me...
