I got this for free at the flea market yesterday. It has a big crack but it was so pretty I took it anyway. I'll put it on a shelf somewhere and it will look great. Do you know who made it? It has blue stamped marks on the bottom but I can't read them.

I like it but it looks like pottery to me. The close up of the item looks more like a glaze and on that obscures the mark. That oval shape is Fenton style but the size and indication of lettering around it say not Fenton to me. I will be interested.

Hmmmm ... I'll have to take a real close up of the crack and see what you think.

Looks like ceramic to me as well. There seems to be a tiny firing crack pretty much dead center on the bottom. You wouldn't find that in glass.

Okay - I'm convinced. Is there a maker I should be looking at?

well the color reminds me of delphite (as in Jeannette or McKee glass) and is pretty.
But it also looks like ceramic or pottery to me. Are you sure it is glass?

I think this is very pretty too. And the raised design is reminiscent of pressed glass in its detail. But I agree, ceramic or pottery.

    Hi,
Thank you for clarifying it is ceramic. I thought the old eyes were going when you said it was glass. The oval on the bottom is nagging me, I know it but I am not sure. It is driving me insane.??????

Have you found any more about this, Bookahtoo? I'm way behind on reading threads here, but think this is pretty so am bumping it up. :)
