12" tall. Picked this up at a Church yard sale today. No marks. No chips or cracks, either. The paint on the rose is slightly worn in places, but otherwise it's a great vase. Could not resist. Any info? I'm leaning towards German because of the rose, but totally unsure.

Hi Bev - Nippon I think. I've got a soft spot for Nippon. Nice find.

Well, I thought it was Nippon on the front, but the rose threw me. It was marked $40, but end of the sale everything was half price so I paid $20. I'm just going to sit and stare at it for awhile.

Since the rose appears to be cold-painted, do you think it was a later addition?

It didn't occur to me that the rose was a latter addition, but it did occur that the rose seems to have nothing to do with the other decoration...
