Navajo? Turquoise? ring with mystery hallmarks- help appreciated!

A lot of stone and mineral collectors pay top dollar for rare stones and minerals, ocean jasper from madagasgar used to be affordable but now that the supply is limited the price has gone through the roof.

 

As I've said, JMHO. I contacted a person from Nevada gems. Look up chalcociderite. Only time will tell.

It sure doesn't hurt to know the name of the mineral when selling.

 

I bought it for me....I really like the stone and setting. I am trying to learn about turquoise and I figured if this was a fake, I liked it and forv $40, I wouldn't get hurt too badly. I feel stupid when I make mistakes, but hubby tries to cheer me up by saying that is how you learn. Still feel dumb. Plus I like to share the info here in case anyone else comes across something valuable.....

Me, too. I am close, but I am laid up now with lots of issues with my feet. No driving, no leaving the house.....going nuts.

 

I live in South Carolina so it will be a special trip for me if I go. I hope your feet heal soon.
