    Hi there,

I have recently joined with quite a specific purpose to find out a bit more about a collection of 'small world' teddy bear figurines I have. Any advice on where to start would be great.

    Thanks in advance!

Welcome aboard Kharris, I don't know anything about those, but hope you'll find someone here who can point you in the right direction. Good luck!

Welcome, Kharris! Does "small world" refer to Disney or something else?

It doesn't seem to- it's just a small sticker on the base of some of the Bears. I'll upload a couple of photos! I'm at a bit of a loss myself- I collected them for years buying one or two ever summer holiday in Norfolk but the store has closed now.

Well, there is a brand name "Small World Toys, Inc." Not sure how long in business, but it appears they are still in business. How long ago did you start buying them? And which "Norfolk?"

Norfolk, as in East England, UK. I started buying them around 18 years ago. Thanks Bakersgma, I'll look into that.

I found a couple ended listings for animal figurines from Small World, made in Scotland, on the US ebay site. Made of resin, according to the seller, but they didn't show the label. Have you tried ebay.uk?

Found an active listing for a snail figurine on ebay.com with the same label as yours. Seller doesn't say anything about age.

There are other listings that refer to "Small World Ltd." One is a bear in a bobbie uniform. They show it in a box but no close up of printing or label.

I have to conclude that these were likely brand new when you bought them?

Any chance of seeing Mr. Bear right side up?
