Milk Glass tube from vanity lamp

The other day while cleaning I tripped over the cord of the lamp on the nightstand & sent it crashing to the floor. The only part that survived was the "tube" that covered the metal rod that went from the light socket to the base.

This is what the lamp looked like before it crashed.

The tube is 10 5/8" long & is 1" across.



I also still have the socket & metal rod.

I don't know if anyone would have any use for this piece but I thought I would offer it up before it got thrown in the trash.

This giveaway is open to anyone who would like to have this piece.

It was my own fault for not being more careful.

 

you might find a replacement for the candlestick base which is Westmoreland #1921 Lotus pattern; but it would need to be drilled.

I was fairly certain it was Westmoreland but never did find any ID'd as such. I stumbled across the one above by chance.

I had the lamps for at least 20 years so it is time for something new. Once I find some new lamps I will sell the remaining intact lamp.

I do appreciate the information & will use it when I list it on eBay.

 

It could be repurposed. Slide it over a towel rod .

 

I am unfortunately not talented enough to repurpose it but hopefully, someone will be.

I'm sorry that happened, @bercrystal . I hope somebody can use it, but also -- don't be concerned if you end up throwing it away. Somebody will buy the other lamp and they can be on the lookout for another one if they want to pair them.

 

I have decided that if I get no takers here I am going to put it into the bag I have where I put all manner of things to give to a friend who is an artist. She doesn't usually deal with this type of thing but if she can't use it she will likely pass it on to someone else who can use it.
