Featured Please Help Date This Goebel Hummel Figurine

Can anyone help me date this Goebel Hummel Figurine and help me with a name? I think he’s a Night Watchman but I haven’t been able to find an example of this exact figurine. I’ve seen a larger, newer version that is a fragrance lamp (whatever that is.) It has a newer mark on the bottom and is more cartoonishly painted. I’ve also seen one called Night Watchman that is completely different looking and also has a newer mark.

This one has an older look to it but I do not know how to date them by the marks. And I’m not 100% sure on a name. I don’t know very much about Hummel Figurines.

So this is a “Full Bee” mark and dates from 1950-1955?

 

Should it also have M.I. Hummel incised on it? This one does not.

 

Yes, without the incised Hummel mark this isn't a Hummel figure but was done by Goebel. Can you make out the incised mark on the base? Starts with K? If you know that it might help you locate the original name of him

Thank you for the reply! That makes sense that it is not a Hummel. It’s very hard to make out the mark but I think it’s KT53, or KP53, or KF53? The K and 53 I’m more sure of (although I may be wrong.)

 

Found him Although they were incorrectly calling him a Hummel too and no name.
