Need help identifying rare old glass bottle/flask/ jug (perhaps roman /hebron)

Quite a few on ebay. Not as valuable as one might think. You will have to decide yourself whether these sold examples are authentic or not.

Yeah saw That but i'm gonna keep it when the value is just a few buks but I also saw some of them on Goldberg auctions, there they are much expensiver.
I think eventually we can't say really a thing about its value without the looks of an expert at it.

I personally think after two weeks searching for it that it's a 1700/1800s reproduction from an Italian artist.

What do you think?

 

I mean looking at the pontil and the glasswork itself (the glasswork seems expensive and quite hard to make and those pontils usually dates prior to 1850 when it's not a forgery) but on the other hand when it's a Italian artist piece there should be a trace from the artist (I think or am I mistaking?)
I know on thing for sure Roman,Italian or fake it's a nice piece and I have to get to the bottom of this one to find out the history of it.
And it's worth it in my opinion.

Any other people with an opinion feel free to share.

Eventually when I figured it out I will post the experts thoughts.

That isn't scavo, it's irridescence, usually caused by immersion or burial, but can also obviously be reproduced. Scavo is a rougher finish, and deliberate. Interesting bottle: I can't decide on its age either, so let's see what happens when someone looks at it in the flesh!

Today i went to an ancient glass expert.
She took her time to examine the piece and she thought that it was a 19th century Italian reproduction.
She said it was a handblown dipmolded piece.
The value of this glass remains a question, she couldn't tell me.
Also I asked her about molded glasses, when it's a reproduction and molded then shouldn't their be more glass bottles known?
She thought that mine was the first one somebody asked about (at this moment it really could be a exclusive unique piece).
To get a final answer on my questions I could donate it to the museum of corning glass.
After all i think she is right with her story about it.
Still remains my questions about this piece value.

If anyone can help me with it then please do so.

Good idea about offering to donate to Corning. U can send them pix. They may tell u about it even if they don't want it. Call first to ask so if they don't work that way u won't waste time. You can also send pix to an auction house that deals in glass and ask for a presale estimate.

Also the tip for asking for a presale estimate is a good one.
But before I'm thinking of selling it I first won't to find out about its history.

Still looking for answers and as up to today I still haven't found a piece what lookes a bit like mine .
I tried to contact the museum of corning glass but haven't gotten an answer on my mails.
If anyone over here has another thought about its maker/age/value then please share it.
I have seen one glass vase what looked a bit like mine (I mean the glassware itself not the total piece).
Correct me if I'm wrong
