Is This Super Rare Blenko Art Glass Ram Head Vase?

There is a Blenko Collectors Group on Facebook. The lady mentioned in the article is a member. They may be able to confirm rarity and provide more info. It's a very nice find.

Strange that the one on Ebay is that bright. Actually that is the natural color but according to the article above, because of the thick walls it should appear amber.
If I sell mine for over $500 I'll be more than happy but I thought because of being rare it may sell for much more.

 

It may - you never know. Markets for rare items like this can be tricky in some categories. Most Blenko pieces sell below $100 and some collectors tend to focus on unmarked pieces that can be picked up even cheaper from unknowing dealers. For them that's half the fun - getting the item much cheaper than book. There is a certain price point, though, they cannot go above either because of necessity or choice. McCoy collectors can be the same way. We'll pay prices up to a certain point but won't go beyond it no matter how desirable or rare the item. There are "super" collectors that will pay whatever it takes to acquire an item, but you need to find two of them for your auction to really take off. And finding these rare collectors can be trickier than finding the rare item. JMHO
