Featured Paolo Gucci for Pierre cardin spider brooch...help

Good morning! Found this very nice Paolo Gucci for Pierre Cardin rhinestone and enamel spider brooch.

2" long and wide....looks great...no replaced or missing stones, bends, or scratches.

I couldn't find out much info about Paolo for Cardin jewelry (1980's. I think). What little I did find doesn't seem to sell for much, and I could not find this spider anywhere.

Any info on materials....looks like gold plate over a non-magnetic metal. The rhinestones are real sparkly...maybe Swarovski crystal?

Do you think it would sell o.k. on it's own because of Spider/Goth appeal? Or should it go into my winter jewelry lot pile for ebay?

Paolo left Gucci in the 80's so I'd say your dating is correct. If I'm not mistaken (and I well could be) he died in the mid 90s. But since all of the Gucci guys have/had given names that end in O I sometimes confuse them.................

Spider jewelry has been around for a long time so I suspect there are collectors out there no matter the season.

 

Spiders do sell year round, however I do more sales around Halloween.

The rhinestones are probably crystals - good chance they are Swarovski.

 

Thanks for the help! Wish I could verify he used Swarovski crystal...I think I saw a horse head brooch with rhinestones...I'll see if I could find it again.

I could wait for Halloween, but hopefully it's special enough and will sell well...cash flow issues, you know.
