You mean resin? From these photos, I would not conclude they are the other substance that must not be named.

I thought the miniature might be this lady. Glare & angle obscuring.

So I looked further at the teapot I bought and now I see it has 3 lids. It needs one lid only. Oy. I guess I will be selling the other lids individually for replacements which is not too bad as they do sell.
I think the owner put more stuff in the box than it came with over the year and since it was dark in the basement where I found this... well you know.

Bonus parts! I might leave them together in case of accidents.

Looks like bakelite; I wouldn't think tortoise would hold up to the heat, and we all know celluloid would be madness.

Scottish? It's all agates. Pretty sweet piece.

You guys are finding some very nice things. I am in a slump, so I sat down and uploaded some photos of finds earlier this month. They serve to remind me I have been fortunate and to not despair.

I accidentally ran into a church sale two weekends ago headed to an antique show. I spent $7, here's what I got:

This plate full of sparkles was part of it. The topaz set and blue set are Lisner.

    Then this silvertone Coro parure

finally this Amco GF parure, carved glass

I did get 5 sterling modern pieces, two necklaces, three earring pairs, and a pair of 10k emerald and diamond yellow gold hoops for $2 each there, too. And bags of vintage Barbie clone doll outfits for $3 in all.

These were all a dollar at a thrift shop up north I rarely get to now, used to visit all time when I visited my uncle in long-term care

And I believe this is leopard jasper and onyx, but does anyone know what the beigey beads are?

I don't think all the lids are made to fit the same teapots size. One lid fits, but the others appear to go with other teapots. I have to look at the numbers on the lids (I hope I can see those tiny numbers with my magnifying glass):(

This Espo sterling set in the original box was $1 at a community yard sale; I didn't realize it was sterling until I went to photograph it.

Thrift shop finds. They missed the sterling mark on the purple necklace, which seems to be quartz, purple garnets (larger stones) and amethyst. The red earrings I didn't know were Swarovski (swan logos carved into outer outside). The bugs are Joan Rivers. I love the colors on the Russian brooch.

The sterling hair pin was $2, antique mall.

I want to hit your antique mall Marko!

The beige beads are something they call "river stone", aka Random Pretty Rock. It was a "thing" in the 80s.

THANK YOU!!! It clearly fits the time frame of these three pieces.

I am always hitting up various antique malls.... this one I never ever found anything in, but ya can't give up. I have to photograph this vintage sunglasses lot I bought there, sunglasses circa 1980s, tags still on with ridiculous prices in the hundreds. I bought them for $5 each. Supposedly, they came from a jewelry store that closed down....so the story goes.

I have a pendant very like those faceted glass things, but have absolutely no recollection of how I came to have it. It's over 1" long, and the bale is stamped 925.

Growing up, I was fascinated with swords and medieval weapons. Now I have my very own...even though it's small enough to pick my teeth with, haha.
