Hi I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to help me identify these chairs please…
I’ve spent hours searching online and I've found many that are similar but I just can’t seem to find the same ones.

We would really appreciate any information that could be offered about them or any advice in suitable pricing to enable us to list them for auction as a joblot.

    Have a great day
    &
    Thank you so much ☺️

Finding an exact match is next to impossible. Your chair with the striped seat is late Victorian, so turn of the century. Wood appears to be a non-descript hardwood stained to mimic walnut. You mentioned in the other thread that these lean forward. If so, likely missing casters on the front legs. Value for a single chair would be very low but I see you have a set. You might be able to get up to $100 for a set of 4 in very good condition at retail in my Midwest location (good condition means replacing the missing casters or figuring out another way to make these sit right). Value is area dependent and based on selling venue, so you may do better (or worse) in your location.

Your other chair is more likely 20s-30s. The wood is oak. Do you have the seats? I see at least a pair. Others? You would be lucky to get $20.00 for a pair of these without seats. The same caveats as above, apply here.

You took many explicit pictures of your chairs, and only Brad is knowledgeable and kind enough to decipher them. Wouldn't it have been easier for the rest of us if you had draped a sheet over all the stuff that isn't a chair.

    Hi & thank you ☺️

I can only apologise if you thought my photos were difficult for you to see but unfortunately I’m a busy mum with young children who is trying to do a million things at once, it wasn’t possible to drape a sheet over our television display cabinet, electric box or our card table as my family’s important memories are displayed their and most is hand made pottery etc so I wouldn’t risk it as their extremely precious to us, the pictures behind the chairs are actually displayed on the wall itself as we try to encourage our children in all their personal efforts and achievements but I will ensure a plain wall is used for taking photographs next time to avoid any upset to members I hope this helps xx

    Welcome Witch.

I deleted duplicates of your pictures, and spaced them out, so hopefully it is easier for members to see them.

Sorry to bother you again but do you mind if I ask how I can check which type of wood it is that they are made from? Also I’ve just had a look and there seems to be nothing that’s ever been attached to the base of the front legs as there’s just a tiny pin hole beneath both xx

Your use of "mum" makes me think you are in England? If so, your first chairs are likely beech with a walnut stain. As I said before, the others are oak. Have no real idea how values translate from here in the US to England. My understanding is that such "brown" furniture is also in a value lull as much as here or more.

As for the front legs on your chairs, they could have been cut down. The other possibility is some kind of caster with a sleeve that fit over them.

Possibly elm too, since we're talking UK. The last I heard, brown wood was coming back slightly there. So these aren't skip bait any more, but they aren't big money there either. Where I live they're often under US$20 each.

Hi me dear. I'm UK as well. Sadly, these aren't of much value here. I'd agree on the one without a seat being oak and 30s ish, the other a bit earlier.
