Featured These are now my favorite tongs - thrift store purchase

    Good evening all,

    I had good fortune at a few thrift stores today, and ended up getting a little pile of sterling silver. The other items were pretty ordinary, but I wanted to share some photos of these tongs I got today. They were hidden in a large case of silverplate flatware...the entire box smelled like a musty basement...But hidden between the junk was a sterling spoon, a cake knife with a sterling handle, and this beauty:

    Lovely and have to have-a-licious! What do you think their intended use was? Asparagus maybe? Very nice find!

    Beautiful. I bet the sterling mark doesn't show when they are folded. Maybe that is why they missed them .
