I agree - that frame should be gold, although it wouldn't be the first time gold findings weren't marked.

This definitely older than the others, although I can't get more specific than that.

    Brave girl with lavender nails!

Is the "shell" translucent? (Hold up to a light source and look at it from the opposite side.)

This cameo is what's known as a 'Rebecca at the Well' motif. Very popular in late Victorian and later. This one looks like late 19th early 20th century, I can't really see the clasp and hinge. Some were gold and some were gold filled and pinchbeck. Do a Google search for Rebecca at the Well cameo and you'll many examples.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

The pin and hinge look like 19th century. I'm not sure about the clasp, since something might have been replaced. But it could be from the 19th century also.

The setting is odd, with those flaps covering part of the front of the cameo, and the way the back comes up unevenly. Have you tried to wear it? Seems like because of the back it might hang kind of strangely?

I do not think the cameo is 14K gold. If you click on the first photo from this last group, you can click a 2nd time and get a nice enlarged close up look at the metal. I feel like I'm seeing tarnish, a bit of wear to the finish in a few small spots, unless it is a trick of the camera. I would not expect this with 14K.

Also I wanted to chime in, I agree with Calico that the rhinestone pins are 1950'-70's possibly newer still. All but the AB one seem to have glued in rhinestones, (not prong set) which means newer and not super high quality. Although pretty in a way, I do not think these have a huge resale value.

It doesn't look like 14k to me, either.

I'm thinking the odd shape of the metal is from it being bent irregularly.

Thank you so much! Not exactly what I wanted to hear but very helpful.

Yes, and ... it's possible that an owner put it into that setting, without having much knowledge of how to put jewelry together. I think the cameo and the frame both are old, but am not sure that they started out together.
